Four scores and many beers ago, several malty individuals, united in the singular love of great, homemade fermented beverages, joined together around a couple of barrels and a slab of glass to form a brotherhood of homebrewing genius the greatness of which the world had never seen and they called themselves COCK……

OK, who writes this crap?!?!

The truth: We are a bunch of individuals who LOVE great beer, but we share a particular passion for crafting it ourselves.  Perhaps in the basement, garage or wherever else our significant others or maybe even boss will allow us.  And we do call ourselves COCK, although there is a degree of blurry thoughts around that one. As far as the genius part goes?  Well, we think we’re smart.

We have humble goals for our group: talk about homebrewing, taste the results and occasionally get together to concoct (not conCOCK!) something unique.   We meet about once a month at our favorite place, Barley’s & Hop’s, to mostly taste the results but we learn a few things along the way.  Since we started last August 2008, we’ve even picked up a few new members so that says something….right??

In this world of sound bites, perhaps we’ll offer a summary - we love beer enough to spend the time to make it.  Nuff said.
